
Marching Band Registration is April 12-18, 2026

April 18: $325 DEPOSIT DUE All students interested in participating in marching band MUST register on the website and pay the non-refundable $325 deposit by this date. We will be sending in final numbers to our drill writer on May 1 to guarantee your position on the field, hence why the deposit is non-refundable. The total amount projected for marching band is NOT TO EXCEED $650, which includes the cost of band camp. In addition, once you register, there will be an option to break the payment into smaller monthly installments of $125 over 5 months.

Auditions
Drumline Auditions are April 20-24, 2026, from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at BHS. Packets and any updated information will be in the Google Drive. Any percussionist in 8th grade – 11th grade that wants to be in the drumline will be auditioning for their instrument placement. ALL percussionists that want to march will make the marching band percussion section. You will be playing either Snare Drum, Tenor Drum, Bass Drum, Cymbal or Pit
Guard Auditions are April 20-24, 2026, from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at BHS Commons Area. Packets and any updated information will be in the google drive!
Band Awards Banquet is Monday, April 20, 2026, in the BHS Commons – Desserts begin at 6:30 pm and the Ceremony will be 7:00 – 8:15 pm.
Boston Butt Fundraiser
Our Boston Butt fundraiser is back! For every butt sold, the student will receive 90% of the profit (approximately $20) off their band fees or toward their Hawaii fees. This money will go towards your final band payment.
*Current seniors can donate proceeds to an underclassman or to the general fund.
Butts are $45 each.

Collect money as you take orders. You can collect cash or checks. All checks should be made out to BBA. All money and orders need to be turned in by Thursday, April 23. We will begin cooking on Sunday, April 26 and finish by Wednesday, April 29.
Band representatives will be at the front of the school (horseshoe) to collect orders and money on Thursday, April 23 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm OR students may put their orders and money in an envelope and place it in the wooden band box in the band room.
If you cannot come, please email Lyn Risher at bbq@brookwoodband.org to make other arrangements to turn in your order and payment.

Volunteers Needed
We need help preparing and cooking the butts. The Risher’s will be hosting this fundraiser in their driveway. They live in Flowers Crossing at the Mill near Crews Middle School.

Boston Butt Pickup
Students/parents will be emailed pick up times and will need to pick up their Boston Butts and deliver them to the people who ordered them from the student.
Pick up times will be 7:30 – 9:00 am and 7:30 – 9:00 pm at the Risher’s house during the sale.
Megan Kendall
Dr Stanley would like to invite you to consider supporting Megan Kendall, one of our Orchestra Directors, while she continues to battle cancer.
